My Favorite Photography Tools
Product photography used to be my least favorite task. More than sanding pieces, more than uploading the actual photos, more than managing my website...It was something I actively dreaded.
I want to help you avoid those feelings of dread and anxiety! I pulled together a list of my favorite photography tools (and even linked them!).
Happy photographing!
Pro Tip: Have a dedicated photo space!
I like to keep one area clear in my office so I can pop up my lightbox easily and don't have to waste additional time cleaning and organizing before photographing.
#1: 12x12 Lightbox
I have a 12x12 lightbox, which is the perfect size for jewelry and accessory photography! I would suggest going up to a 24x24 if you are photographing large accessories or items.
Buy it on Amazon!
#2: Faux Greenery
We all know that plants are SUPER hot right now, yes? Everyone has become a plant parent in the last two years.
But the truth is that greenery adds texture that can complement your items.
#3: Ring Light for extra help
Lightboxes are fabulous because they do not need additional lighting, but if you are taking photos in a larger space or taking selfies to model your products, a ring light with an extendable tripod is the best option!
